The Rossoneri coach spoke to Dazn after the match against Juventus
Milan-Juventus ends 0-0 again, just like the reverse fixture. It’s the fourth goalless draw in the last five meetings with the Bianconeri for the Rossoneri. For the Champions League objective, Milan now need 6 more points to secure qualification mathematically, maintaining the same gap over Como and Roma. Milan reach 67 points and stay in third place (two behind Napoli), while Juventus remain fourth on 64.
Milan-Juventus: the match story
In a sold‑out San Siro, balance prevails. A cagey first half defines the big match at San Siro. The two teams study each other and avoid mistakes that could gift the opponent an advantage. Beyond a few tough challenges, the first half will be remembered for a nice move by Fofana – which ultimately didn’t materialize – and a shot by Rabiot saved by Di Gregorio for Milan, plus a disallowed goal for Thuram (offside) and a Maignan save on Conceicao.
The beginning of the second half, however, seems livelier. Bartesaghi, booked and not at his best, comes off for Estupiñan. The first big chance goes to Milan, who hit the crossbar through Saelemaekers on one of their rare counterattacks, but fail to score. Juventus threaten in transition as well – twice, with Pavlovic crucial on one occasion – but Maignan and the defense hold firm. Late in the match, Modric also leaves the pitch after an aerial clash with Locatelli, followed by Leao. Milan create little danger in the final minutes and come away with a point in the Champions League race.
Allegri’s words after Milan-Juventus
Massimiliano Allegri spoke to Dazn at the end of Milan–Juventus. Here’s what he said:
On managing the final minutes and on the draw:
“A very balanced match. We had a couple of chances, just like Juve did, who in the end brought on all their wingers good at taking players on. We can be satisfied with the point. Four matches remain, and as of today, we need two wins. A fair draw.”
On the few chances:
“Against Udinese we conceded three goals on counterattacks. Today we defended well even when outnumbered, but we needed to do better in some transition situations.”
On Leao’s inconsistency:
“I’m an admirer of Leao. In terms of performance, one of his best, even if players like him must make the difference. You can’t expect a player to always be consistent, and I don’t think he ever was, even four or five years ago. I’m happy with his performance because he managed to do things he didn’t do, for example, in Verona. One of his best recently.”
On Pulisic struggling:
“He’s a sensitive guy, and he’s feeling this stretch a bit more. Without a true center‑forward, maybe he struggles a bit more. I know that with two forwards like him and Leao, he’s a bit penalized for now, but there’s an objective to reach. He must stay calm – he’ll help us until the end of the season.”
On the points still needed:
“We need 6 points. Then it will also depend on Sunday. We could have done a bit better today, but results are the sum of points. This point is important. Qualification might come on the last matchday, but hopefully not. We must play better technically.”
His words to Milan TV
Massimiliano Allegri, after the draw against Juventus, also spoke to Milan TV. Here are his comments:
On the draw:
“It was a balanced match, approached well, with attention to detail as I had asked. A fair point against a strong team. We’re close to the Champions League objective.”
On what can be improved:
“We definitely should have been less hasty in some situations – sometimes there’s too much urgency. Saelemaekers’ crossbar was an unlucky episode, unfortunately.”
