According to Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano, Samuele Ricci is set to sign for Como on a loan with option to buy.

As deadline day approaches, Milan continue to stay active on the transfer market. Christopher Nkunku has recently left for RB Leipzig on a loan with option to buy, Rafael Leão seems set to leave the club, with his destination still to be clarified, and Samuele Ricci is now expected to leave for Como.

Like Leão, Ricci is a player who was not reported to have been excluded from Milan’s project by Ruben Amorim. On the other hand, reports and rumors that he could leave have circulated all summer. Ultimately, Milan were unable to find a club willing to sign Ricci on a permanent basis, but he is nonetheless set to leave the club.

According to Matteo Moretto, Como will pay Milan 1.5 million euros for the loan of Ricci, and have an option to sign him permanently for a fee of 20.5 million euros.

Like the recently departed Nkunku, Ricci signed for Milan last summer, but had an underwhelming first year at the club. Even with Ardon Jashari suffering an injury at the start of the season, Ricci struggled for playing time, and rarely made a strong impression when given an opportunity.

The tactical fit with then-head coach Massimiliano Allegri seemed dubious to some, and it has been reported that Ruben Amorim has also been left unconvinced by Ricci. Now, Ricci is expected to leave the club.
