Serie A Enilive 2026/27 is about to begin: where to watch the match

The wait is almost over: Serie A 2026/27 is ready to get underway. For AC Milan, it will be a particularly delicate campaign, marking the beginning of a new cycle under Rúben Amorim.

The Rossoneri will begin their season away from San Siro, at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, against Ignazio Abate’s side. It will be a special occasion for the Granata coach, who will face Milan again after his spell in charge of Milan Futuro and his long career as a Rossoneri player.

Torino head into the fixture after a positive pre-season. Their campaign began with a 13-0 victory over Pinzolo Val Rendena and continued with wins against Alcione Milano, Barletta, Vado and Avellino. On Ferragosto, the Granata then defeated Carrarese 1-0 in the Coppa Italia Round of 32, thanks to a goal from Simeone.

There have been encouraging signs for Milan as well. After a 2-2 draw against Celtic and a 1-1 draw in the derby, Amorim’s side lost 3-0 to Chelsea before beating Manchester United 4-2. The latter friendly provided some positive indications, including glimpses of the style of football the Portuguese coach wants to build.

Now comes the first real test of the season.

Head-to-head record

The Olimpico Grande Torino has often proved to be a difficult venue for Milan, particularly in recent years.

In the five most recent meetings between the two sides in Turin, the Rossoneri have recorded just one victory: the 3-2 win on December 8, 2025, when Rabiot scored and Pulisic added a brace to overturn goals from Zapata and Vlasic.

Before that, Torino recorded victories by 2-1 on February 22, 2025, 3-1 on May 18, 2024, and another 2-1 win on October 30, 2022, while the teams also played out a 0-0 draw on April 10, 2022.

The most recent meeting between the two teams overall took place on March 21, 2026. At San Siro, Milan came from behind to win 3-2, with goals from Pavlovic, Rabiot and Fofana.
